A message from the President, Amanda Hobson
It is a true honor and privilege to serve as Chapter President for Delta Omega chapter at Murray State University. Our chapter consists of over 140 sisters who are all driven and influential on our university’s campus. AOII is different from all other sororities. We are all bound through our values focused on scholarship, campus involvement, philanthropy and sisterhood. Every girl is different and holds special talents that make this chapter so great. Once I pledged AOII in Fall 2012, I knew joining this sorority would change my life. Joining AOII has been the best thing that has happened to me throughout my college career. Every chapter member has different memories, but the root of what AOII is all about is why we love it so much.
Delta Omega chapter is known for its philanthropy events on campus. We put on two different events throughout the academic year. Mr. MSU, a male pageant of men on campus, is a very popular production in the fall. We have raised over $10,000 the past two years during this event. The other event we host is Strike-Out Arthritis softball tournament. This event has been very successful raising over $2,000 for the Arthritis Foundation.
Not only do our members participate in philanthropic efforts but they also manage to be very involved on campus as well. We have women who hold offices in most every major organization at MSU. Our involvement includes the student government association, the student alumni association, the student ambassador program, multiple honors societies, and so much more. Last year, our very own Summer Davis was crowned Ms. Murray State 2014.
The sisters of Delta Omega are very well known on campus through involvement in outside organizations. We are always focused on always exceeding the expectation both inside and outside of the classroom. We would like to welcome you to our website to learn more about us as a sisterhood!
